 Last year, Wendy’s Franchisee Owners throughout the region partnered with SwimMAC to launch an unparalleled water safety program directed at providing water safety lessons to children at a high risk of drowning. More than 14,000 free water safety lessons were provided through the Wendy’s Water Safety Clinics in collaboration with partners in the metropolitan Charlotte area, and in 8 other cities covering the Carolinas.
This year's water safety and learn to swim efforts have been expanded to include encouraging everyone at every age to learn how to swim in the Charlotte News Channel 36 television viewing area. With nine (9) drowning deaths daily in this country, News Channel 36 is using their voice and talents to help promote the importance of water safety. Partners will be established across 21 counties.
